Anti - Matter Complation

Anti matter kompilacija je izasla 1996 godine nakon poslednjeg broja njujorškog fanzina istog imena. Fanzin a i kompilaciju je uradio Norman Brannon koji je takodje svirao u bendovima Ressurection, Shlter, Texas is the Reason, baby Gopal i tako dalje. CV mu je u svakom slučaju pozamašan i za svaki respekt.

Na kompilaciju su se našli bendovi koji su u tom trenutku u svakom slučaju bili creme de la creme hardcore/punk scene. Strife, Snapcase, Outspoken, 108, Sensefield, Quicksand, CIV, Mouthpiece, Lifetime itd, itd

Krajem dvehiljaditih, Revelation records je izdao knjigu Anti Matter anthology u kojoj su se našla sva izdanja davno rasprodatog fanzina. 

Ovog puta preslušavamo jednu od, ako ne i najbitnih kompilacija devedesetih godina.

Brooklyn - 1897 Demos (Bad Brains, Beastie Boys, Murphy's Law)

The Brooklyn Sessions

Following a long year of touring with the Beastie Boys on the Licensed to Ill tour, Tom and Adam Yauch decided that they would do something different. That something would later turn into what fans today call the Brooklyn "Demos" or the Brooklyn "Sessions."

Brooklyn was formed around late 1987 or early 1988. Its members included Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys, Tom Cushman, Daryl Jenifer of Bad Brains, and Doug E. Beans who was the drummer in Murphy's Law. Murphy's Law along with Fishbone had opened night after night for the Beastie Boys during the Licensed to Ill tour, so three out of four of them had gotten to know each other better while on the road.

Having only been paid a small percentage of what the Beastie Boys thought they were owed from Def Jam, Yauch took twenty thousand dollars and along with the other guys recorded several songs under the band name Brooklyn. The demo was shopped around to several recording labels, but was never put out commercially.

Carbonite je novi vegan SxE bend iz Floride, malo informacija ima o njima, sem da u ovom bendu sviraju i neki od članova Ecostrike-a. Za razliku od spomenutih, ovo je mnogo brutalnije, negde u rangu ranih Hatebreed radova "Under The Knife" era.

This Is The Light Compilation

Ovih dana se posredstvom Breaking The Silence foruma na internetu pojavila ova kompilacija srpskih hardcore/punk bendova sa samog početka novog milenijuma. Ova kasetna kompilacija je izašla za izdavačku kuću F.U.R. koja je tih godina bila zaslužna za dosta sada već legendarnih izdanja. Od bendova na kompilaciji su se našli Hitman, Unison, Blind Side, To Live For, Fall Down, All Ages svi iz BG, zatim Force Union, Strive For More i No Speed Limit iz NS. Takodje Thimble iz KG, Steadfast iz PO, zatim mladenovački Concrete Worms i Shock Proof i Fat Youth iz KŠ itd.

Odlična kompilacija koja je na najbolji mogući način prenela duh tog perioda, i može se reći odolela zubu vremena.
